(If you don't select the Pivot Chart before creating the text box, the text box will be separate from the chart and therefore won't move along with the Pivot Chart if you ever want to move it.) Start by clicking on the bounding border of the Pivot Chart to select it. We've just created custom number formatting for the Grand Total. On for Rows and Columns: If you have hidden or removed your Grand totals, you can bring them back using this option.

Off for Rows and Columns: Click on this to remove Grand totals for both rows and columns both.

From there, you can choose the option to Add or Remove Grand totals.

After that, click on the Design tab on the ribbon and look for the Grand Totals.

First, click anywhere on the pivot table to activate the Design Tab.
